Find a Care Provider
General Practitioners
Gordonvale Family Medical Centre has two male GPs and three female GPs with many years of experience in family medicine. We are a teaching practice with James Cook University and Australian General Practice Training so you may meet a medical student we are hosting or see the GP Registrar for an appointment. GP Registrars are qualified doctors wanting more experience in general practice before settling in a permanent location. They undertake a three year program working at accredited training practices with GP mentors. Gemma and Andrew are our GP Registrars.

Our Nurses
Gordonvale Family Medical Centre’s Nurses work closely with the GPs, providing traditional nursing care along with support and education in living well with chronic conditions, keeping up to date with childhood vaccinations and getting kids ready for their first year of school.
Nurses Louise, Caz and Sandy have completed additional training to increase their knowledge and understanding of diabetes care and child health. They are able to assist you in living well with chronic conditions, keeping up to date with childhood vaccinations and getting kids ready for their first year of school.

Podiatrist, Jeff Dowdle, works two days a month, helping to maintain good foot and lower limb health. Clinical Psychologist, Cheryl Cornelius, works every Friday providing mental health care and cognitive behaviour therapy. Diabetes educator, Chris Messina, works Mondays with a focus on the management of diabetes and home medicine reviews.
